  2. Real estate schools approved by the State of Michigan for the 40-hour prelicenseure real estate course.
  3. Real estate examinations for Michigan are administered by Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc (AMP)
  4. Real estate licensing fees
  5. Other real estate license requirements, including age-requirement and Broker signature.
  6. In subsequent years you will also need to take and pass continuing education classes to maintain your real estate license.

  1. Obtain your real estate license (see above steps)
  2. Make sure your broker is a REALTOR^®
  3. Submit member application along with fees to become a member of Jackson Area Association of REALTORS^® (JAAR)
  4. Complete JAAR orientation
  5. As a benefit of joining JAAR, you will join the Michigan Association of REALTORS^® (MAR) and the National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR)
  6. Be sworn in by JAAR as a REALTOR^® and take your oath to follow the REALTOR^® Code of Ethics
  7. Congratulations, you are now a REALTOR^®. You may now work towards earning REALTOR^® designations
